It's About Time!!!

It has been TEN days since my last post!
And...that is exactly what my newest post is about on the Clip-It-Up Blog.
T-I-M-E
Time is precious..and the way that we spend our time dictates whether or not we have a good day or a bad one,
a happy day or a sad one,
a productive day or a...Well...NOT so productive one!
Here is a layout that I did using the New Nikki Sivils "Max & Mollie" collection.  This layout took me exactly one hour and 22 minutes from START to FINISH...leaving plenty of time in the day for me to spend with my munchkins capturing more moments like this one!
(It would have previously taken me about 4 hours to complete)
This is My Husband and my youngest...spending time together. I used the February prompt off of the Nikki Sivils Blog for inspiration.

Please head over to the Clip-It-Up Blog and see my post in it's entirety, and you will see just how exactly my scrapping time has been more than cut in half!

Scrappin' on Sunday!!!

Woooo Hooo!  I got a little bit of time to scrap!!! Yay Me!  LOL!  I wanted to use up the rest of my scraps from my March Scrapbook Daisies kit, so I put together a little layout based on this Page Maps sketch that Kris chose for us to use this month.

I had not used that super cute little bumble bee yet, and all I could think about every time I looked at it was a field of sun flowers!  LOL...No idea WHY...but it is what it is.  SOOOOOOOOO....I took that idea and ran with it, so to speak.  I hand cut the sunflowers and used large brad daddies from Imaginisce for the centers.  With the bee being as big and chunky as it was..I HAD to make big and chunky flowers...RIGHT???  LOL.   My hidden journaling is all bout her "Little Miss Sunshine" t-shirt and how it has been her fave since the moment I bought it.  She has had this shirt for almost 2 flippin' years...yet she still wears it.  She says it is her "SUNSHINE" in her closet..and it brightens her day when she wears it.  With the attitude that this girl carries around most of the time...I will let her wear that shirt until it FALLS OFF of her into a pile of rags on the floor!!! LOL.

Thanks for taking a look at my "Scraps"!!  Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

Fotos on Friday...

Well, I had a fabulously productive photo shoot with my kids.  They all cooperated, they all posed, smiled, and even got along during the whole thing.  The photos were amazing!  UNTIL....I deleted them!  Yes!  I formatted my memory card thinking that I had already saved all my photos, and I was WRONG!!!!
Talk about one mad mama.  Mad at MYSELF!!!

So...when in need of photography advice, you go to a photographer, right?  Well, I posted my dilemma  on Scrapbook Daisies to all the fantastic photographers there, and guess what....I got advice...GOOD ADVICE!  Kathy told me of a program that can retrieve deleted photos from a memory card!  Then Renee posted the link...  http://www.z-a-recovery.com/

It is a free download that will read and retrieve your lost images....and OMG!!!  I was able to get about half of them back!  I was doing a happy dance! No, I did not get them all, but just the few I got made me happy!  Thank you sooooooo much, ladies!!!!!

Here are a few of the photos that I recovered....

Some of the ones that I could not recover were absolutely GORGEOUS.  But...I am THRILLED with the fact that I was able to recover even a portion of them!!!!  Lesson Learned???  ABSOLUTELY!
And...I just look at it like this...I get to take them all on another photo shoot soon to recover some of my lost shots! LOLOL...YAY!

PS...I can NOT WAIT to scrap these!!!!!

Thanks for visiting me...and I hope none of you ever loose your photos...but if you do....remember this post!  I hooked you up with the link should you ever need it!!!  Have a FANTABULOUS weekend!

Celebrate Today....

With a CAKE!!!!
Doesn't every celebration require it's own special cake???  I think so!
It is one of my favorite things to do...to custom design and decorate the
PERFECT cake for the occasion...whatever it may be.
I used the current My Minds Eye sketch challenge to design
this layout to showcase some photographs of a few of my cakes.
It was the PERFECT sketch for my photos!!!
I also used the current prompt over at
My Favorite Things... my "Favorite Pastime".
While scrap booking is the obvious first choice...
decorating cakes come in a close second.
I truly enjoy the creative process...and even more, I love the thrill and excitement of the recipient as they see their cake for the first time!  It makes all the time and effort worth while!
 Supplies Used:
My Minds Eye papers:  So Sophie & Quite Contrary
My Minds Eye brads: Lost and Found
My Minds Eye die cut: Quite Contrary

Other: American Crafts thickers and Prima mini blooms

Head on over to My Favorite Things and tell us
what YOUR favorite Pastime is!!!!
And while you are at it...check out the sketch over
at My Minds Eye ...it just may inspire you, too!!!!

Thanks for visiting me!  Have a Fantabulous Day!!!!

click right here>>>>>Scrapbook Daisies Blog

Scrapbook Daisies has the most amazing kits...full of beauties!  There have been kits featuring some of my FAVORITE manufacturers, including My Minds Eye, Basic Grey, Crate Paper, Bo Bunny, Pebbles, American Crafts, and MORE!  There are always PLENTY of embellishments in the kits to create beautiful layouts without worry of running out.  Some of the embellies have been Prima, My Minds Eye, Maya Road, Petaloo, and many many more magnificent tid bits!!!

Here is the March kit that I worked with featuring American Crafts..."Hello Sunshine"

And here are the projects that I created!

Here is "Sisters".  It is Aubrie and Skye cuddling together and I captured it!  The quote that borders the doily says...
"A sister is a gift to the heart...a friend to the spirit...and a golden thread to the meaning of life." ~~Isadora James.
I used the golden thread quote and enhanced with the golden thread that I hand stitched around the border.  I also hand cut the hearts, distressed them and added stickles for the border.

Here is Skye "On Cloud Nine".  This was her 5th Birthday...and she got Chewy...her pomeranian puppy.  She was ecstatic!  That was ALL she had asked for...and she got it.
I did a lot of hand cutting for this one...the clouds, the umbrella, and the butterflies all got cut from the patterns of the papers. I added some soft blue paint for the backing of the photos and sprinkled it with fine glitter.  I wanted to maintain a "cloudy" effect for the overall layout.

Here is "Party".  It is Skye with her cake...complete with the puppy paw prints that she asked for!  Yes...it even has doggy "bones" on top of the cup cakes!  This one was a super simple design, and I created the banner for effect.  Lots of border punching going on here.

Here is my Sister in Law at her wedding.  I wanted to create something soft and subtle with the kit...so I misted the white card stock, stitched and painted a bit, and added in the remaining portion of the doily from my kit.  I used my cricut to cut the brown flourishes and the title.  I wanted the focus on the photos themselves, so I refrained from adding in too much "distraction".  A few butterflies and blooms showcase these photos perfectly.

I certainly hope that my projects have inspired you today!  You can create all of these and MORE with the "Hello Sunshine" March kit....so hop on over and order it !!!

He makes me...

Laugh with his sense of humor...aged well beyond his mere 14 years.
mad because he listens like a ROCK!
happy to call him my son because he is SUCH a good kid.
OLD...because...well...let's just say he makes me old!  LOL

But today, he made me PROUD.
Proud to be his mother.
Proud that he is growing and learning so much.
PROUD...that is an AWESOME Pole Vaulter.

This pole is at 8 foot in height.  He cleared it with a foot to spare.
He made it to 9 foot.  Personal best.
Congratulations, Tamon.

My Altered Clip-It Up!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Clip-It-Up Jumbo!  Today, the Simply Renee Newsletter went out, and my altered Jumbo was featured in it!!!!  YAY!  Here is a little sneak peak of it....
If you want to see the rest of it, go check out the Simply Renee Clip-It-Up blog and check out my tutorial!
Oh...and please leave a comment over there to let me know you stopped by to visit!  THANKS!!!

***********************************************************************************

I also have a layout to share!!!!   I did this using the FEB BAP sketch on the Prima site...

I used my daughter as my subject...but it is not about HER specifically. She is at Build-A-Bear...and in these photos she is making a wish on the heart, rubbing it on her nose, and blowing hundreds of kisses onto the heart...all part of the little presentation that they do to convince the kiddos that they have to "Bring their bear to life" and put the heart into it's chest . The whole little skit just tugged on my heartstrings! It was so sweet, and she truly believed and wished soooo hard! It is the little things in every day life that make my heart flutter! I was sooo happy to have gotten these pictures to forever remember that moment. This is innocence...all wrapped up in a happy little girl and her new stuffed friend! How lucky I am to be her mom.

Thanks for visiting me!!!  Have a FANTABULOUS Day!!!!!!!
